Εleni Karamatziani

Eleni K. Karamatziani is a PhD graduate at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the Department of Philosophy, entitled Deontological, Utilitarian and Theological discussion on Organ Donation". At the same time, she is a Philologist, holder of a Master's Degree in "Theory and Practice of Teaching and Evaluation", full-time teacher of Primary and Secondary Education and was responsible for the pedagogical team of the European E-Twinning and Erasmus Programs at the 4th Senior High School of Galatsi, which was awarded with "e-Twinning Quality Label" and "European Quality Label", and she had also coordinated school twinning programs. Since September 2020, she has been seconded to the Philosophy department, teaching Ancient Greek I (Thematics) at tutorial level in the 1st semester and has the duties of an Administrative member of the Applied Philosophy Laboratory (since 2017 she was also a researcher at the said EEF), while at the same time, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Professors and Intellectuals for the Promotion of Philosophy in Education (EKDEF) as General Secretary. In the context of her research activity, her papers have been published both in Scientific Conferences and Scientific journals, upon review, while she was a Researcher in the "Mental Health Program in Vulnerable Populations", 1st Psychiatric Clinic of the Aegineition Hospital – Medical School - EKPA. Her research fields of activity involve the examination of a series of metethical issues, the critical presentation of the main normative theories, especially utilitarianism, Kantian Deontocracy and Aristotelian Virtue Ethics, and Plato's Metaphysics, as well as issues from the field of Applied Ethics and Environmental Ethics.
